03.12.2009                                                             Local/external call for offers  for the first time

Rakka sugar co. announces its willing to call for local/ external offers by sealed envelopes for executing project for improving the efficiency of evaporators and reducing the consumption of steam (supplying and installation ) acc.to the related specification book. Who intends to participate in this tender should submit his offer acc. To regulative decree No. 51 / 2004 and legislative decree no. 450/2004  offers to be hand over directly or by registered mail to : Rakka Sugar Co. P.O.Box 45 /Rakka / Syria . Offers to be put in three  sealed  and stamped envelopes :

-          First envelope : contains the supporting documents which mentioned in Article 11 of the law 51 / 2004 , Bid bond , declaration adhering with the conditions of technical book , financial stamp of 1000 S.P.  to be stick on the declaration

 - Second envelope : contains the technical offer .

-          Third envelope : contains the financial offer detailed as follows .(FOB + CIF) and on site for local tenderers .

The three envelopes to be put into Fourth large  one labeled with tender subject. Bidder name , address and closing  date

1-Bid bond : euro 150000  for foreign bidder to be   by bank guaranty issued by    

       Syrian bank . Syrian pounds 7500000 for local tenderer  in form of cash,  or

                          bank  guaranty .

2- Performance bond :10% of total value of the offer before signing the contract.

3-Tender to adhere with his offer for a period of 150 day  starts from the date  of            

        disclosing

4-Execution period : as short as possible .

5-Delay penalty : 0.001  per each day delay.

6-Advert. Cost + contract stamp  to be born by  the contractor.

7-It is stipulated that the supplier should have local commercial agent and to    

    nominate  his agent before the contract  signing. That in the light of decree no.  

         15 of year 2001 .

8-Law no 51 of year 2004 and  legislative  decree no. 450 /2004  will consider the

     basis of contracting.

9- Technical book can be obtained  from the commercial department  against  

    payment : euro 100   for foreign supplier  and Syrian pounds 5000  for local   

      supplier.

10- Closing  date : Monday   22.02.2010

11- Disclosing  date Tuesday 23.02.2010
